When this happens they flood the first several pages, so the true data from the actual website may not show first or for several pages. Consumers eventually find the actual website after scrolling through several pages. These lookup websites seek to consumer payment to discover the owner of a phone number, when it is available for free! The actual website is there, but is not showing on the first page in the top spot as it should. In addition, please note: Some students noted a few websites flooding their search engine results. Some sites create numerous pages on their websites of the same exact promotional data and it’s basically a repetitive copy paste page or website blog (some websites create hundreds of them, one for every town!). The consumer takes note that these business are seeking to show their website many, many times so that you only see their website. Some consumers mentioned it turned them away from doing business with them, as they took note of how they were unable to see any other local individuals or businesses. Most websmasters do not do this. It is rare but does happen sometimes. If this happens to you, simple put a “-“ in front of the business name that is flooding your results and search again.
